Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July! We hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th of July weekend. Ours was full of fun, friends, and fireworks! on the 3rd we had our annual celebration in our cul-de-sac. Every year it gets bigger and bigger, as our neighborhood has grown, and more and more fun. On the 4th we got up early to go to Southbend lake to visit the Hurt family for a pancake breakfast, parade, and rootbear floats. The kids really enjoyed the parade and got LOTS of candy! Then we came home for another 4th party. It was fun to sit and watch all the fireworks go off all around us in the neighborhood. Braeden and Derek loved the sparklers and poppers. Braeden even lit off some big ones with his dad while Derek stained his hands and shirt by picking up a used smoke bomb. He was covered in pink! With some help from grandma Barb we got it all cleaned up. It took some serious stain remover and three washes for the shirt and two baths for Derek. There were lots of fun pictures taken so I tried to post many of them below.
